Legado 2060 is a global creative campaign about the tensions around climate justice in the digital age. We highlight actions and visions from actors such as researchers, policy-makers, educators, creatives, and beyond.
We are looking for collaborators interested or experienced in acting, script writing, podcast editing, photography, illustration, and more creative powers. Everyone is invited to materialise an intergenerational dialogue, centred in a sustainable future for all.
Our imaginative sessions at AWID will re-write the story with the Association for Women’s Rights in Development community. Our activities leverage overlooked communities, particularly from South East Asia, schools, civil society organisations, activists and youth (18 and 24 years old).
This year at AWID, s0mething is ALIVE!
Legado is a sci-fi telenovela in which characters represent ever evolving drama between Economy, Politics and Society. Legado’s narrative has been built collectively and unfolding into a happily ever after between technology and biodiversity.
The story started at the Mozilla Festival (MozFest) in 2022: “We live in a technological society, practically without nature. A love story between a mucha lucha robot, an androgynous AI machine being, and an inverted mermaid (top fish and bottom human) were born out of a hostile environment of an already degenerated nature…"
Listen to the new podcast from the AWID scifi telenovela (soap opera) co-facilitated by Soledad Magnone and Cybelle Oliveira and featuring stories by Shruti Nambiar, Liz Njambi (a.k.a. super producer) and Muthoni Muriithi.
Discover the story created at the AWID workshop in Bangkok and its creative process. Legado has new plot twists with 4 cyborg natives and an elephant (s)hero with an orthopaedic leg co-created with the visions of Raffi Niziblian, Mapa Herrera and more people from around the world.
